Terry’s Time – Dear Dads….. Just for you from your daughters. July 24, 2016 Dear Dads, A father’s involvement in his daughter’s life is an essential element in the improvement of a young woman’s self-esteem. With that said, we wanted to let you know what your daughter’s enjoy doing with you and how much they admire all that you do for them. “I want you to know that even though I spend more time with mom, I appreciate everything you do for our family.” “I love when you tickle me.” “Thank you for always cooking for us. I love when you make our favorite dishes.” “I love when you play basketball with me. ” “Thank you for waking up early to go to work for us.” “Even though your jokes aren’t funny- you make me laugh.” “I love when we tease each other.” “I love when we get to play outside with our dogs.” “You are very smart. I like when you help me with my homework and school projects.” “I like when we wrestle with each other on the trampoline.” “I am proud of the things you have accomplished.” “Thank you for encouraging me to try new things.” “You may not be able to fix some of my problems, but you always make an effort to cheer me up.” “Thanks for asking for hugs….you are so lovable.” “Thanks for the fun we have as a family.” “I see that you work really hard so that we can do extra-curricular activities. Like sending my brother to college and me to Marimeta.” “When we golf and swim together I have so much fun. I love it.” “Thanks for teaching me the value of experiences, over things.” “Thanks for being so welcoming to my friends. You make us all laugh.” “Thanks for “getting me” inside and out.” “I know that you don’t really want to watch that “chick-flix”, but you do anyway because you know I want to watch it.” “When I fail, you tell me to get back up and start again. You believe in me.” Thank you dads for being such great role models to our young ladies that attend Camp Marimeta. We know how important you are in shaping their self-images and confidence. We love all the different way you show them respect and love. The girls could not have been more excited when they where talking about their fathers and the way that you show them love. May your week be filled with fun, sunshine and most of all laughter, Love, Terry
