Thursdays are like Saturdays at camp! June 30, 2011 Hello everyone that we love! It’s been another warm and wonderful day at Marimeta! Started out a bit sunny.. and then became cloudy but all activities were able to continue! English muffins, Cobb Salad and Chicken Cacciatore were the meals of the day! All delicious indeed. Lots of fresh fruit is being eaten all day long! No one here is hungry! That’s for sure! The evening activity was the Chocolate game… where a roll of the dice get’s you closer to eating that delicious milk chocolate! It’s a fun game that you actually have to wear a special outfit during the eating… a hat, a lifejacket socks on your hands are the required clothing for eating that piece of chocolate with a knife and fork! I think I’ve been giving too many details on some of our very special events.. we don’t have them copywrited yet… however, I’ll try to be a good explainer without giving out the state secrets! The senior cabin had their first outing at Pier-Row Bay.. the name for Sandy and Terry’s home on Cranberry lake. We unfortunately lost Terry’s father over the winter to heart problems. They had a gorgeous home on Cranberry lake and we always had plans to keep it in the family! It was worked out via the family estate plans and we took our first field trip over to there with our senior girls! We had a wonderful evening of Chinese food on the lake. We then went on boat rides on Cranberry lake! What a great day for everyone! Look forward to further news! Love to all, Sandy
